The my.polyguide webportal was created by the polyguide association, a small group of innovative students who were publishing a printed brochure about life in Zurich and around ETH/University. The portal was targeted at students of ETH and allowed a personalized view of all important things going on (cafeteria menus, events, …).
In 1999, this was the only personalizable portal available to ETH students and a great success. I was part of the core team planning and implementing the my.polyguide. Also, I did the graphic design and translation to HTML/CSS as well as implementation and operation of several portlets. The portal was written in object-oriented PHP and using a Postgresql database.
