This is an add-on to the E-Pics ETH image archive. It synchronizes the ETH image archive with external, exported versions of the images and metadata. These exported versions are available under a Creative Commons License and can be found using Google Image Search.
The synchronization includes an update mechanisms and scales up to millions of images. It will also process very large images and include a nice Creative Commons compatible watermark. In collaboration with Google Inc, I implemented a special type of sitemap, which allows the ETH images to be found reliable in Google Image Search. Also, I designed a customizable template for the display of images and the whole image index.
